Street Art Competition Season IV

Street Art Pakistan team took a leap further in its fourth season by conducting five competitions in five different cities. In April, 2013 around 300 participants from each city including Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and almost 400 participants from Lahore beautified the walls of their respective cities with eye-catching illustrations of the historical monuments of the Punjab Province.

Street Art Competition Season III

DAY 1: Dharampura

The first day of the competition took place on Sunday, 6th March, 2011 at Dharampura that turned out to be a record breaking activity as 976 feet long wall was painted by more than 250 participating students. This was the longest wall ever painted in the history of Pakistan.

DAY 2: Faisal Town, Model Town & Garden Town

The second day of the competition was held on Sunday, 13th March, 2011 where 300 students removed wall chalking from 56 walls of Faisal Town, Model Town and Garden Town and painted them with the positive themes of Pakistan.

DAY 3: Garhi Shahu

More than 300 students, 315 to be precise, showed their commitment to Pakistan by drawing optimism about their beloved country on 63 walls of Gari Shahu on 20th March, 2011. One of the most memorable Sundays was witnessed by the local residents, who welcomed an innovation which certainly changed the look of the spoiled walls of this part of Interior Lahore.

DAY 4: Gulberg

The last phase turned out to be the most efficient as almost 70 walls were successfully attempted by almost 350 students on 27th March, 2011. Electronic and Print Media also showed their wholehearted support with generous coverage of an effort to help turn ugliness into beauty in all the phases of SAC-Season II.

The paintings were judged and evaluated by Jamal Shah, a great actor, and currently the head of one of the leading institutions in the realm of arts namely Hunar Kada. He announced the results and endorsed SAC as a creative and a positive step with multi-dimensional implications on our society as a whole at the closing ceremony of SAC II where cash prizes and certificates were distributed among the winning teams and participants.

Street Art Competition Season II

The success of Season 1 encouraged Street Art Pakistan team to take a step further which led to SAC Season 2. The competition turned out to be an instant blockbuster with over 1,200 candidates from over 75 educational institutions, primarily of Lahore, painting their constructive feelings on the marred public walls of the city. More than 250 walls were beautified on the four sunny Sundays of March, 2011 that demonstrated the significant improvement in the scale and impact of SAC-Season II as compared to the first season held in 2010. Street Art Competition Season 1

In March 2010, almost 250 students gathered in Gulberg, Lahore for two consecutive days to participate in a competition to abolish wall chalking from 55 walls and paint them with the culture, tradition and attributes of our beloved country. The art work was judged by a panel of jury including eminent personalities like Saleema Hashmi and R.M. Naeem. The painted walls were reviewed and cash prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners at the closing ceremony of SAC Season 1. The charm of the glorious event persisted till the end as it roped in the melodious tunes of the theme song of Message Welfare Trust sung by Uzair Ashraf, an upcoming star who launched his career by donating his first single to Message Welfare Trust.
